My Way, Your Way, It's all Moot, Go The Fuck Away

At some point I lost my way
The sky around me
Dark and grey
I climbed to the highest mountains peaks
Where they say, the Gods do speak
The path to the top was hard and long
I had to cast off everything, that I'd learned of this world
Everything that I once knew, began to become obscure
Began to lose its hold
I was sure that this obervant obedience, would merit me great gain
But when I got there, expecting thunder and lightning
I did not receive anything
Not even a peep
To me, this was dis-heartening

So I climbed back down
In my heart cursing, and saying, "Fuck You,"
To all of them
I've given all that I had, to enter in
When I looked to you for, some kind of, Zen
I still felt all alone, and empty within

So determined to continue my search
I dug into, and explored the depths of the earth
The path here is also, hard and long
Wrought with, pain and grief
Internal struggles
And still, that feeling to belong
Then one day, I think the answer came to me
It said, "Do not look into the air, do not look into the sea,
for what you desire, do not grieve, but to find for what you ask,
look within, cause there it lies, inside, in your minds eye,"

So you, throw your prayers to your, Gods whoever they may be
But don't think of taking a second fucking glance at me
I'll believe in want I want
So don't judge me
You haven't walked in my shoes, and seen the things I've seen
It may be good for you, and work some too
But it doesn't suffice me
And just because you believe it, doesn't mean it's, "Absolute Truth,"
There are many paths, and many ways
Many truths, that show, "The Way,"
So go the fuck away
