Phosphoresce Parable

Purveyor of  sustenance for the soul

Hunger, preceeded starvation’s latest toll

Linger not, for shadows shun the sun’s glare

While the ocean tosses, then regurgitates despair

Hunger, preceeded starvation’s latest toll

Full bellied satisfaction smiles within comfort's hold

Thoughts of fallible mind strewn about in disrepair

Truth seeks the light, whilst hope-filled followers stare

Linger not, for shadows shun the sun’s glare

People gather ‘round now a resurgence is near

Tablet’s of time of occurances aforementioned, retold

Gaze upon the mountain once ascended, sheltered, cold

While the ocean tosses, then regurgitates despair

A steadied ship ventures outwardly without fear

Seeing clearly once clouded eyes 'regains sight' of road

Strength returns to roost, relinquishing bartered possessions for a soul…
