Darkness Comes in my room at Night.

Sometime I'd like to transcend, this fucked-up place
See the worlds thru the, "Gods," eyes
So much appeal in their distance
Disconnectedness
Their nine worlds away

Sometime I'd like to peel the skin from my external face
Watch the real me emerge, as this illusion, fades away
Watch all that we think exists
Disappear from this plain

Sometime I'd like to trans-descend to the abode of, "Hel,"
And taste the sights and smells
Hear the nightmares they have to tell
Lately in my dreams at night
This realm to me is being revealed

Wake up in sweats, when it's freezing inside
Let out a repressed, guttural moan that sounds like a demon
I swear to fucking god, in my dream, it sounds like I'm screaming
But wife shakes me from sleep and asks, am I having a nightmare
I really think that I should be, but I'm not scared

I've never felt this way other than when I was spun on ice
But now I don't do that anymore, so is the demon emerging from the other side
It feels really cold in my room, and a little sickly
I think I'm the re-enactment of a scene from, "Little Nicky,"

Are these, "Strange Happenings," memories of another life
Or premonitions of, what will be in due time
I really don't want to see anymore, "Shadow-Monsters,"
Maybe I'll call a, "Shaman,"
Have a seance
Conjure-up what's trying to reach me
I've taken pictures in this house, and they revealed things that my eyes alone cannot see
