Desert Lands

My beautiful lady
why have you deserted me?

all the colors spring from you
now my world is painted black

the clock is ticking backwards
without you in my life

a whirling vortex of pain
sucking me dry

you are my water
lovely one

come rain down on me
take me from the desert lands

I've been wandering in
no power nor punch mouth rusted shut

please open the door
that is now locked for me

take me in your arms
I feel you watching from afar

my soul aching for your touch
end this burning need

embrace me now
if not forever walk away.
