Love is in the waterfall

Love is in the waterfall
tumbling in black Welsh rock;
love is in the wind combing
through spring shoots
blown away the scales
waking months of sleeping
soft green leaves curled in utero
force their impatient way
gaining light and freedom
for one brief year.
Watch and understand,
appreciate this gestation
love in a water-fall,
wind and welcome rain .
Lovers tumble in the meadow,
as day invades the evening,
dark nights retreat until October,
when all shall start again;
bellies swell and buds grow plump.
