Animal Kingdom 2: give & take
This time an animal hunter sleeps,
drawing a thin line between pleasure & relief;
a paddock & cage is all same
like the parrot shouts, “freedom” free
but the blind mice escape after consuming poison!
Vested returns are assured,
dipped in one sweet revenge of a joy-stick;
here Jerry chases Tom & the dead lizard falls on the cup
because give & take is all about seizure & belief
I will say, “Don’t look down as up pukes the bandit!”

A strange and mischevious poem, beyond what my tired mind can comprehend at this hour. I like the Tom and Jerry reference and some of the anthropomorphism, though. Thank you for the read.
