Many thanks Syn. I like your phrase 'from smouldering to soldering in one mild leap'. Though it is offered as a 'fun' piece, this story was told to me in my youth(though with silver coins)by a girl in bed. I could not work out whether she was the victim or perpetrator- either way I was little worried. But you take chances at that age.

Many thanks. I did rush it so got the limerick number of lines and rhyme scheme but could not fit the story into the limerick metre. So always thought of it as a bit of a bastard.
