When her arms were Open...
Lying in this sadness,
love seemed so sincere, she was mine
I could have loved her, for all time
softly her whisper, within my mind
keeps this ole heart beating, divine
just when I felt, charmed
I flew into open arms
how could I know, soul's harm
who said this ole soul'd endure?
see, I never needed anyone more
But as I grew to depend on, her open arms
that proved to be my longest, hardest downfall
yet still, as I call out with love's alarm
please return by my side, right here by my side
living in madness, now I'm standing alone
I swore I'd trudge on, yes always I'd move on
but within wells deep below, truly now... I'm gone
just when I felt, charmed
I flew into open arms
how could I know, soul's harm
who said this ole soul'd endure?
see, I never needed anyone more
and as I lay here crying, dying...
now, I see
I'll never need anyone more
than, ME...
