Queen Of The Susquehanna

Queen
of
the
river

That's
what
they
call
me

Keeper
of
the
murky
water

Protector
of
animal
and
human

I
keep
the
weeping
willows
dropping

So
their
leaves
and
branches
dangle
in
the
water

While
the
ducks
swim
and
fish
on
the
water's
edge

I
see
over
all
the
beauty

Each
fork
in
the
river
leads
to
something
new

Taking
the
visitor
on
an
adventure

Lush
greens
and
fresh
air
all
around

Sounds
of
the
river
moving
a
boat
so
tranquil

I
am
the
peaceful
hush
that
captures
ones
gaze

You
can
call
me
Queen
Of
The
Susquehanna
