Battle Scars
My scars are different to theirs.
They are proud of theirs and
wear them medals of honour
whereas I'm disgusted by mine
and wear them as medals of shame.
We have both been through a rough,
bloody war. They fight against other
people, I have constant wars with
myself. I can't stop, they can.
We're not that different
from each other yet
so far apart.
Miles apart
yet
so
close
together.
