Plain Sailing

The holiday booked, A few days away.
Those few days would tick by slowly,

How did I know this?
Because I had asked God,
Asked him, As a favour.
I felt he owed me from the times distant
when he was kind of too busy help me out..

I told him that I wouldn't waste a minute
That I would send him a postcard.
To remember it as if it were my last few on earth.
I hope he got the message.
I hope he gets the card.

Dear Lord.

We Haven't even been together,
You know.. The bedroom thing.
I guess that's one reason we're going away.
To get acquainted on a more personal level.

I've packed for such an occasion.
Frillies and lace, What men tend to like.
I hope customs don't pull me over.
I didn't pack with them in mind.
Look the other way if they do, Please.

Am I scared? No but yes but no..
It actually feels as if it is just as it should always be.

I feel eighteen all over again when I'm in his company.
There's a light that just shines so bright when we are together.
Obviously not as bright as yours sir..
But I hope it never goes out all the same.

Just one more favour lord..

That's all I ask.
