"No Show Jones"

One voice not like any other
he lived life in pain and
sometimes sorrow
Every word he sang was
a story he was telling,
bring a tear to your eye
and a smile on your face
Shaking your head as his
lyrics ring true,reaching
into hearts of many
that know how he felt
so blue
Crooning anthems about
marriage, whiskey, children
and friends
Breakups and death, he
sang it all and sang it
like no other,he was a
living legend
Now he's gone forever
with only his voice on
the radio haunting my
memories with each
song
There will never be
anyone that could fill
his shoes
