Succumb

As I lay awaiting comfort
the unknown finally
approaches me calling
out to me with it's desires
and chants of good times

Sweet melodies play over
my flesh bringing a toxic
potion as it enters my
veins and swirls within
my body

My shallow breathing
becomes rapid eyelids
close into blissful trance
searching for your echo

Combinations of desire
and euphoria mix with
envy and hunger

This ringing in my head
is just a reminder of
things that never were
things I gave in to
then I spring to life
