Still Waters Run Deep
I’ve clung to hope
like a life preserver
only to find
it offered a false
sense of security
never knowing how
deep the waters
of uncertainty
truly were
so I learned
how to swim
and found
I could let go
and float
on my own

I relate well to this, as I do to most of your poetry.
