Just Being Ordinary

This write "has nothing tricky about it"
not going to save the oceans
bring foes to the table
not epic in the least

Not even that original
desire has been round
pretty much from the start
might be better to just "Go Away"

The one specific is the target
not just "add female and percolate" variety
seeking the affections of another
doesn't drive the same intensity

I have no idea if there is reciprocity
my brain has trouble imagining
another matching my ardor for the call
of two

Not a feeling of conquest
of another notch on my belt
more the treasure of knowing
that in the mass of humanity there is one bond

The link which isn't limited by one night
an individual orgasm and explosion
but rather nuanced in those moments
when the stars twinkle bright or the sun rises

The glow that can only be produced
in the company of each other
warmth of body and soul
can return a smile no matter what else the day brings

And so no accolades are merited or deserved here
which is about right
for history's path
is full of ordinary people

The only thing that can be said
is "Double Fantasy" wracks this guy's brain
"double" being the goal
the best way to operate in so many endeavors....
