Alone
She goes to bed alone every night
Longing for company to be by her
Sadness fills her where she should
feel happiness
Eyes rest but not for long she's
back up with little sleep
Thinking of the partner she can't
have
Why does she sleep alone when she
don't have to
If there was someone to hold her
as she slept
Someone to share her bed with but
there's not he's gone all night
She wonders if he thinks of her
laying there alone
Does he want to be next to her
giving her warmth and happiness
Does he think about her pretty
face on his chest as his arm
cradles her while she sleeps
She thinks about her empty bed
his arms his chest
She drifts off to sleep somehow
in her loneliness
Longing for company to be by her
Sadness fills her where she should
feel happiness
Eyes rest but not for long she's
back up with little sleep
Thinking of the partner she can't
have
Why does she sleep alone when she
don't have to
If there was someone to hold her
as she slept
Someone to share her bed with but
there's not he's gone all night
She wonders if he thinks of her
laying there alone
Does he want to be next to her
giving her warmth and happiness
Does he think about her pretty
face on his chest as his arm
cradles her while she sleeps
She thinks about her empty bed
his arms his chest
She drifts off to sleep somehow
in her loneliness
