self destruction
If only for a night I could close my eyes and not be pulled into a sea of destruction,
stabbing me with memories i'd much rather forget;
the lies I have told myself to keep me sane
then realize they'd be the death of me.
If only for a little while I could have some peace
but i suppose peace is something that is beyond my grasp,
so i fall to my knees asking for forgiveness to the one I've hurt the most
I look up to see my eyes looking back.
