The hurt of forgiveness
Deep in our dispute many spiteful comments were made,
but then she is silenced by her twisted lies
which have come to take their reprisal.
Many hateful words are uttered between
our unfriendly minds.
Secretly all we wish for is forgiveness,
yet we do not back down from our quarrel.
I scream out.
Slowly I drift in and out on consciousness,
my lungs shattered like glass pelted by
pointed rocks, unaware of the surrounding ambience,
or those who rush to my side.
If we had given up, nothing would have mattered.
If we ignored our peers would we not be here?
Broken, whispering "I'm sorry" repeatedly.
All we needed was forgiveness in our decrepit hearts.
but then she is silenced by her twisted lies
which have come to take their reprisal.
Many hateful words are uttered between
our unfriendly minds.
Secretly all we wish for is forgiveness,
yet we do not back down from our quarrel.
I scream out.
Slowly I drift in and out on consciousness,
my lungs shattered like glass pelted by
pointed rocks, unaware of the surrounding ambience,
or those who rush to my side.
If we had given up, nothing would have mattered.
If we ignored our peers would we not be here?
Broken, whispering "I'm sorry" repeatedly.
All we needed was forgiveness in our decrepit hearts.
