Even Roses Die Sometimes

Questions of truth reveal the lie
Seems only fair, but you can’t hide
Dreams come and go, reaching for the lonely one
To fill the shallow mind in your heart
Grasping the hand that reaches before you
Standing on the ledge of sacrifice
Building to find the perfect union of love
Never hide from the shadows of tears

How do we forget the past
When change seems to come so fast
Even roses die sometimes
Forget the pain you keep inside
Hearts will heal broken pride
Even roses die sometimes

Hurt can’t change the way you feel
Shattered dreams can’t fly on broken wings
Love was there, one promise of eternity
Take a look inside and find the light
Guides you to the place, where only angel’s fly
Deep beyond horizons, your hope will always lie
Forever to begin, with the hope of dreams
Things forgotten over time

How can we really live again
With making the choice, fighting pain ahead
To live for the love that’s past this life

How do we forget the past
When change seems to come so fast
Even roses die sometimes
Forget the pain you keep inside
Hearts will heal broken pride
Even roses die sometimes

Time will wait for no one
Whose tears it cannot shed
Look to the love of the one in sight
Hear the voice of reasoning, failed to hear before
The love was there, your shelter of pain
Believing in the hope of life
To live for one keeps you safe from hurt
To fill the emptiness forever
Make the change
Decide again to be
Believe in what is real
To live with the pain
You know so well
Even roses die sometimes
