Good Night, Bad Day
I know...It'll be ALL right
Yet somehow, I still wanna die...
Not to be DEAD...Just, not alive
Not surprised, to see the other side
Where...I...NEVER...left
Or, better yet, not to RISE
...To go nowhere...
Whilst blind eyes stare...
At the back of eyelids
...Once lived
Now, no longer residing
Hiding, confined in...
...Any time & Any place...
With two pennies on my face
~~I~~floated~~away~~
Down Styx, a blue-grey river
Through a downpour mist, in the midst of torrential, purple rain
Like a wind blown kiss...
That gently shifts, my atmospheric pressure, without delay
Onto a paisley lake, with a tear drop shape
...Bitter...
Swirling 'round a maelstrom drain...quicker
It's the end of the game!
I've been pretending to play, wit 'em
Risking differential ways, not to be the same
Now I'm made...different!
Like Adam from clay
A new beginning, being old & dirty
But nothing changed...Unworthy, yet...I'm still Abel!...Murdered by Cain
Reincarnate, then, get to be Jacob
Telling fables, in order just to be favored
...AGAIN...
And again!
Marked & labeled through sad generations of sin
Being the last allowed to win, and cursed to lose first, is my blessing
My Yang chasing My Yin
Condemned, to never-end
After myself, being...
Rich, following Wealth
When, Wealth felt Rich was misleading
See, I'm not pleading for tomorrow no more!
I can't distinguish between faith & misplaced hope
Or the entrenched sorrow
At

End
Of
My
Rope!
So...
I pray the Lord...
My soul to keep...
If I should die...
Just...let...me...be...

How deep does the smarty spook need to poke to read between the lines, that even after the funeral pyres have burned down behind all the smoke, the fire has never gone completely out...
