I'm your shadow
I'm always there
and yet
You never see me
Your eyes are fixed on her
the other one, the better one
With her striking good looks
and her hair of fiery red
she catches your eye
with a mesmerizing stare
and holds it
I stand in the shadow of her
unnoticed
invisible
A shadow within a shadow
Compared to her I'm nothing
Dull
Dreary
Wild black hair
No fiery locks
Dull cloudy eyes
Not emerald green
Why, why would you look at me
When she is there shining
In bright light
A picture perfect silhouette
