The Voice No One Wants To Hear
Cigarette smoke rolls away,
Leaving only my shattered thoughts,
The ones that ask me how I ended up here,
And how did my life fall apart?
Was it my fault?
Were you to blame?
Or was it my fate?
That things won't ever be the same.
Could I open up?
Reveal my shattered soul,
Relive all of my life,
Try and take back control.
The wind whips through my hair,
Whispering my deepest fears into my ear,
"You're on your own now honey,
You're the voice no one wants to hear."
I'll never be a normal kid,
Life made sure of that,
Like my mother always told me,
"You're damaged goods, you selfish brat."
Well, tonight's the final night,
No more will I feel this pain,
Climb the building, ready to jump,
I won't have to breathe again.
Leaving only my shattered thoughts,
The ones that ask me how I ended up here,
And how did my life fall apart?
Was it my fault?
Were you to blame?
Or was it my fate?
That things won't ever be the same.
Could I open up?
Reveal my shattered soul,
Relive all of my life,
Try and take back control.
The wind whips through my hair,
Whispering my deepest fears into my ear,
"You're on your own now honey,
You're the voice no one wants to hear."
I'll never be a normal kid,
Life made sure of that,
Like my mother always told me,
"You're damaged goods, you selfish brat."
Well, tonight's the final night,
No more will I feel this pain,
Climb the building, ready to jump,
I won't have to breathe again.
