My best friend
You were always my best friend,
First and foremost,
Everything else came naturally.
I'm tired of blaming someone,
Blaming you,
Blaming myself,
Blaming your friends,
Blaming mine.
Tired of backing down,
And apologising to make things easier,
When it was someone else's fault.
I'm feeling nothing,
I've hit a brick wall.
Crumpled at the bottom of it,
Just feeling nothing.
Not angry, not sad,
Not anything.
I need my best friend.
Can you, the person ignoring me,
Leave a message with the part of you that cares?
Leave a message,
'I tried to call. I tried to text.
I tried.
Can you get my best friend to call me?'
