Dark Rider
There is a dark rider that claims the souls of men, the souls of the fallen and the souls of the lost.
I first met the dark rider in battle, many of my comrade’s dead and dying, mutilated from the carnage. Why are you here dark rider? I asked to which he replied I am the soul taker.
For many a year I did not see the dark rider again. It played on my mind, why would the lord of death show him self to me? Was it on a whim or was it something more?
I next met the dark apparition at the scene of a murder suicide. The dark ride came atop his pale horse and said soon it will be time, do you fear your own mortality?
Through out the years I caught glimpses of the dark rider. Forever checking my shoulder, to see if the death demon had come to collect my debt but no it was not to be.
I fled across the land trying to escape my fate, seemingly though death would appear and I would fear he was here for me but it was not to be.
Finally he pointed and said the time is now are you ready to meet me face to face.
Screaming terrified, I ran across the land again back to the place, in which I had first encountered my old friend death.
In this place it all seemed so familiar, like it was supposed to be. The lost souls pleading with me to stay and join them, but alas I am but a coward so I ran again.
And the dark rider chased me across the land .As far as I ran the rider still was there. Know this no man can out run death and death waits for no man
