a simple mistake
My Fingers slide down his chest,
My heart beats faster.
I know what is happening,
his lips leave a hot trail down my neck.
I feel his hands slide down my spine to grab my ass.
His mouth closes over mine.
I look up and see his eyes watching mine,
Ice blue, I will never forget.
The hunger i see the pleasure I feel.
Its all too real.
My fate is sealed I know this dream all to well.
Pain flares when he touches my side.
I know for a fact that this is actually happening.
And yet it isnt.
I feel the hard muscles of his abdomen press against my body.
My heart beats faster as he peels off my top then my jeans.
I feel so very vulnerable,
I want to cover up my ugly body.
fingers trail down my back and stop at my bras clasp.
fingers agile with practice undo the small clip that holds it together.
My bra falls to the ground,
there is no need for underwear mainly cause it is too hot for it.
He knows how i act towards this.
He knows how i want my life to go,
Why are we doing this?
I know what happens next,
well make love and i'll lie awake thinking what have we done?
Why wont I stop this silly act of insolence?
why wont I change this nightmare?
I need to stop this!
My lips feed at his hungrily.
I cannot control my own dream.
My dream is controling me how is this possible?
As I lie awake after making love to him I ask myself why I didnt stop it.
I knew what was gonna happen and yet i let it happen.
What comes next Will be worse than what I didn't stop.

I have a deep appreciation for the context and style of this poem. I feel very empathetic to this dulled, wrong feeling of what should be love. You describe it perfectly, going through the monotonous motions, knowing before hand that it is not what you wanted, and the closure after the fact... effectively being stuck in the cycle and consciously knowing it is not what you believe in regarding love or yourself. And how you so "hungrily" pursue this wronging... very good poem, you went much further than a simple depiction of difference between lust and love, this is much deeper and encompassing. Well written, my hats off

........somethng that you truly want and need yet you feel somewhere inside that it's destined to turn out badly or that there is something dark deep and wrong. U leave us wanting to read more; to find out what is the sin in this fantasy. I like this. Lends well to a continuation.....
