Heart of darkness
soul in seclusion
enkindled by your love
amidst divulsion
seek refuge inside
one's self
eternal disruption
surrender to me
divine temptation
alone in pain
hear me cry out
through the iron
gates of life
sometimes the strongest
are the ones who
love beyond faults
cry behind closed doors
and fighting battles
nobody knows about
soul entombed nevermore

LOVE this poem!
Its dark and sexy, my two favourite things.
I like the lines:
"sometimes the strongest
are the ones who
love beyond faults.."
I can totally relate to that.
Also like the reference to Poe at the end with the phrase nevermore, also like how you tied the imgery (flawlessly) to the poem.

I love Poe so the phrase nevermore catched my eye instantly.
The Raven is without doubt my favourite poem.
Every Halloween I carve a jack-o-lantern and I read it.
Did you know that Poe's epitaph reads: "Qouth the Raven, Nevermore..."
I though that was interesting. xx
