SPIDER THEORY
A friend of mine,
when back in school.
Went hiking one day,
Through the local woods.
A science project,
on the difference of,
arachnids vs,
the common bug.
Finding many spiders,
though leaving behind,
the ones brightly colored,
fearing deadly bites.
Little did he know,
the simplest looking one,
held the strongest toxin,
slowly killing him,so young.
I think about us humans,
in comparison to spiders.
Avoiding all the"strange ones,"
as if their color's brighter.
Even though the flashy ones,
can kill you just the same.
The quiet ones who blend in,
have the most venom contained.

Spiders...such fascinating little creatures, to be certain! ( I am rather fond of them, actually)
But, I never thought about a comparison between them and humans. Your poem presents a clever, creative theory in that respect.
I believe this poem deals with a powerful concept. The quiet ones among us are often the ones who can truly cause the most harm, sometimes. They are often the ones who have not been accepted, initially, for whatever the reasons, so they take extra measures to 'blend in'...like the plain, nondescript spiders they are quietly watching, and waiting for their opportunities to attack, to strike back. The whole idea of "silent but deadly", so to speak.
Such a unique and creative way to present--to your readers-- a more sinister side of human nature! (That is, unless they suffer from arachnophobia! (LOL!) )
