POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Disloyal Wreck.
Once in a dream, I had you again,
Your eyes weren’t full of fog,
We were actually sane.
This dream could have been a nightmare,
But I didn’t let it be,
I went back further,
Back to where you loved me.
Life takes the good things gradually,
Until what’s left is naught but lies,
The hope of moving forward,
Is all a buried disguise.
So tell me, is it nice?
Living in that lie in your head?
Do her arms cover your body at night, while my heart is left here dead?
You never really understood,
That disappearing to her would...
Your eyes weren’t full of fog,
We were actually sane.
This dream could have been a nightmare,
But I didn’t let it be,
I went back further,
Back to where you loved me.
Life takes the good things gradually,
Until what’s left is naught but lies,
The hope of moving forward,
Is all a buried disguise.
So tell me, is it nice?
Living in that lie in your head?

Dusty Love.
Another day has come and gone
Yet I’m still so far away
You're no longer in my life
But the memories tend to stay.
I guess I should remove them,
They linger in the back of my mind,
Slowly creeping, growing forward
Until they’re all I find.
Love is no perfection,
If this is what I feel,
Love is a deception,
It is unmistakably real.
The question I now ask myself,
Is was this ever true?
Did I wear a bitter mask,
Saying that I loved you.
No matter what,
I now could never feel this way,
To love...
Yet I’m still so far away
You're no longer in my life
But the memories tend to stay.
I guess I should remove them,
They linger in the back of my mind,
Slowly creeping, growing forward
Until they’re all I find.
Love is no perfection,
If this is what I feel,
Love is a deception,
It is unmistakably real.
The question I now ask myself,
Is was this ever true?
Did I wear a bitter mask,
Saying that I loved you.
No matter what,
I now could never feel this way,
To love...
