A MAN
No man
can call himself
a man
until he has
been broken
No man
is a true man
if the echoes
of his pain
do not make him
weep
A man can sail
across many oceans
but the deepest
journey
will be across
the ocean within
A man may stand
and claim
and justify
but this means
nothing
in the courts
of heaven
The world
has been raped
and blooded
by so many
who will never
understand
what it means
to know truth ...
No man

all is done
ALL IS DONE
I got lost
it was safer
than to be found
by your eyes
and your plans
The circus is in full swing
they cover the skies
the airwaves
the seas
the land
and under the land
Parasites and psychopaths
posture and prevaricate
for our angst
I stopped by the trees
to listen
and a tired
burlesque dancer
was asleep
in the chasms
of my memory
I am no longer
a part
just apart
from all
that you
still feed
in your fractured hopes ...
I got lost

heart dust
HEART DUST
Cannot take it anymore
The pain of loss
never really goes away
and some days the pain
is all there is
Fair weather friends
saw the storms
and ran for shelter
The world is dominated
by lies thousands of lies
and saviour science
will betray them all
I am alone with my regrets
so little to show
for sixty six years
My only real reward
my children
I never see
The suffering I am supposed to endure
has broken the very heart of me
Nothing changes ...
Cannot take it anymore
The pain of loss

Enough old grain
on barren plains
Old tyres worn

where love is free
and joy is the very air
you breathe
Take this man

too often denied
let the sunshine
burn the clouds away
Rules upon rules
lies upon lies
no more excuses

more dead then alive
I return to the reasons
I had long forgotten
