My Eden
It’s a feeling
between here
and space
the in between
that is unknown
untouched
it’s where you
find yourself
when you don’t even know
where you are
it’s where you go
to watch butterflies
dance upon the wind
where you let
the sun gently
kiss your skin
it’s where your soul
sings a song
that only my own
knows every word
it’s where only silence
is truly heard
between here
and space
the in between
that is unknown

find yourself
when you don’t even know
where you are
it’s where you go

Midnight
the dark clouds
they linger
once the clock
strikes midnight
taking hold
of your once
pure soul
you try to escape
feeling its power
take complete control
you smile
the feeling so comforting
caressing so gently
your every thought
kissing so sweetly
your innocent scars
screams so loud
but no one to hear
alone and empty
the feeling soon fades
another sleepless night
greeted by
another dreadful day

It’s 3am
and I’m
lying here
alone
Drunk in my
own dreams
intoxicated by
thoughts of
you
I hear
the clock
ticking
minute by
tortured minute
nothing changes
the night
drags on
and on
I can’t catch
my breath
my body
runs cold
all feeling
is gone
you can’t
save me
there is
nothing left
Yet
It’s still
3am
and I’m still
lying here

Secrets of the soul
The smoke bellows out
high above the house
the sins of the night
keep silent within
as the flames
reach their new height
watch the broken glass
as it shatters
to the floor
the memories kept safe
locked away
behind closed doors
close your eyes
you try to escape
hoping to leave
everything this time
but nothing ever changes
you just find new walls
to hide behind
the broken, battered
lies are left to torture
the next
The fire rages
leaving behind the only secrets
Secrets of the soul
high above the house
the sins of the night

as the flames
reach their new height

The lover and I
Our dance begins here
Behind my lust filled eyes
Swallowing my only fear
The moon kissed night
Caresses my sun kissed skin
Stirring the liquid inside
My body against the wind
The heat of your body
Presses against my own

Firefly
Dancing under the moonlit sky
I had a dance with a firefly
buzzing and twirling all around me
lighting up the world for me to see
Opening my eyes to the beauty around
showing me a place that I’ve never found
a world full of wonder and imagination
a night full of dreams and anticipation
Our dream takes us on a ride
soaring us so high, feeling so alive
the moments quickly turn into memories
allowing us to fully believe.
The night starts to fade
and the promise begins of a new day
the music still plays in my head
as I lay...

The trace
of your tongue
leaves a faint
wet trail
across my hungry body
my warm liquid
begins to stir within
with every stroke
hot it becomes
like a raging fire
the room now filled
with this burning
desire
the sweet flavors
are intoxicating
as they drip
oh so slowly
down
inch by inch
waiting
for your tongue
to continue its path
waiting
to feed your hunger
waiting
to feed mine too

These battered walls
they don’t talk
after all they’ve seen
deaf ears and blind eyes
they’ve tried not to know
but there is no escape
they breathe to forget
the innocence of the past
comes back to haunt
the unspoken words
seep into the cracks
hiding from the truth
forgiveness
doesn’t come easily
until red stains
this tortured place
and only then
does the innocence
begin to fall
but the truth
remains the same
behind these battered walls
they don’t talk
