POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
I'm not a poet. Poets can smell color and taste seasons. Poets can make vomit sound beautiful. I just write and hope it comes out well. :)
All Is Lost (Read By Miss_Sub)!!!
an entrusted endeavor was hers to be cherished;
nourished without blemish, dusk to dawn
infinite nothingness flourished unless perfected
her coveted role was of the highest honor
more desired than being born of royalty
a grace that was given only to the purest soul; then
as she laid eternally peaceful in her solitary

an instant adoration of the hell within this entity
blemished now; flawed by his tranquil seduction
blinded by the illumination of his aura

I Carry You
carried you
from life's beginning
to deaths end
His purpose
hurt-betrayal
a lesson?
teasing me
a broken
promise; lies
empty
unfilled arms
needing
to hold you near
craving
your existence
dying to live again
your grave
is my
broken heart
that is where
I again
carry you
from your life's beginning
to my deaths end

My Air
If you left
I always believed
the air would choose you
over me
repeatedly
I let you hurt me
just for the sake
of breathing
painfully suffocating; still
somehow dying; gasping
for the air
that is you
never knowing
it was you
who took
from me
now you’re gone
the air picked me
and you
are the one
unable to breathe

Life 500
five hundred laps
till the end of our life
you quit after the fortieth
grabbing onto my tailpipe
you ride freely
four hundred fifty laps in
I finally hit my brakes
you fly off
dumbfounded
you stand and watch
slightly concerned
you latch on again
four hundred seventy
I hit them harder
making you soar
four hundred eighty
you can’t catch up
panicked now
you decide to drive again
four hundred ninety-nine
and
you expect to win the race?

A Caged Dove
I was nothing before I became a caged dove
I am nothing still as you unleash me into this unknown flock
twenty years of detained innocence
I face twenty more of liberated guilt
where I once had a roof to keep the weather out
I now have a barrel of fire under the bridge
every night I laid my head on a bed of concrete
today I lay on soiled frigid broken cement
thrown out leftovers from a dumpsters mouth
substitutes the three hot meals I was served in my cell
friends...

My Poetical Tattoo
Cherokee Mother-loved the frog
and
Cherokee Grandmother-loved the eagle
you
nurtured me
like your own
you
raised me-taught me-forgave me
unconditional
your love was
from birth
the dream catcher is yours
for
not only did you teach me to chase my dreams
but
to catch them as well
the feather’s are bright
as
are your souls
that shine in the mid-night sky
Birth Mother-loved the butterfly
and
Birth Grandmother-loved to paint

Agoraphobia
from inside
I feel
these walls I recognize
not like a prisoner
but an embryo instead
floating in the womb
from inside
I see
every landscape memorized
through my windows
each changing minute
of seasons transforming
from inside
I smell
newborn flowers
a barbeque's fog
leaves ripped away
a silken white blanket
from inside
I hear
a baby birds song
children laughing
scarlet sheets falling
frigid silence
from inside
I taste

Road Map To Motherhood
ugly
some say
coral curves
twirl like twine
before my solar plexus
beautiful
I say
reminders of
a heartbeat
a hiccup
a kick
one for every
worry
breath
finger
toe
flattering
maybe not
but
worn proudly
every time
you
smile
joke
laugh
hug
say
I
love
you.

Seven Capital Sins
Pride
imprisoning emotions
masking scars
imprinting image
assassinating distance
Greed
unsatisfied gnawing
possessing desires
grasping abundance
endless devouring
Envy
infectious poison
unreachable focus
caressing illusion
coveting another
Wrath
internal rumbling
blinding mind
reasoning lost
created horror
Lust
carnal desires
unmindful fulfillment
animalistic desires
untamable beast
Gluttony
crippling intake
sickening consumption
empty satisfaction...

Time Difference
Frigid walls of four
without promise to be free
innocent proved guilty
his time drags on
Months to live is six
without hope of prolonging
mother of three to be taken
her time rushes by
Years to conceive is fifteen
the heartache has finally ended
only nine months to go
her time crawls along
To raise them right by eighteen
the greatest challenge he knows
from diapers to diplomas

Love Is Not Enough
Losing you
is like a death
hard
to let go
of
the past
and
never agains
the future
and
never wills
I let you become
my everything
my world was
of your love
for me
you
were the air
I breathed
the water
I drank
the food
I ate
the shelter
I needed
I hate
how much
I love you
I can see
in your eyes
feel
in your embrace
the person
you long to be
and
it tricks me
into...
