rub my cortex like you do his jeans
let my roaring genie roam
visit me in dreams of want
and dangle those eyes as lures
make me write as currency
alongside arousal’s fair
till you've squeezed enough to take to bed
and be your pillow’s fluff
forbid rewards
encourage ache
and find your rage a date
tell me of your rub of rubs
and make ‘no’ my only fate
might you be a muse
enforcing rules
to tender words from dark places?

coffee
id rather not stir my coffee
but taste chance’s mixture
cream blending into bean
swirling only from the act of my wrist’s lift
no tend of mind
no intent from a stir
each sip it’s own mixture
till time and gyre finalize
the remaining brew
and each swig thereafter
a singular note

burn baby burn
they say not to look directly at the sun
but you have my eyelids stretched open with your apparatuses
burning my retinas with lust
braised by need
and blistering from want
i can't help plunging into your control
wanting to sip upon the drip drip of your exquisite mind
even as i burn through and through
igniting firebomb after firebomb
escalating with a dramatic slope
as your cruel caviar melts my mind
and leaves a cry within worthy of a munch masterpiece
how can i convey the weight of this ache
that cinches...

finding neutral
sometimes i just want to get out of the way
pull myself from the situation
any situation
live in a neutral zone
where i can listen
perhaps even judge, though i would say assess
all sides
all joys
all sorrows
and see them as things, floating, existing
that you could touch
or fondle
push away
or knock out of orbit
caring is so noisy
projecting foregone conclusions
not giving moments their time to learn
being staccato upon largo
wringing the musicality out of an interchange
choking a perfectly...

useless poem
when i’ve caved
and let loose the prize whose value is only when it is unrealized
the ecstasy is brief
15 seconds according to well studied data
and i am robbed of tomorrow’s demise
and ashamed of not being able to withhold
while need is erased
and prolactin is freed
the sizzle is gone
and my ego’s been frayed
i can no longer brag
or feel persistent ache
and i wonder what’s next
but to wait and regenerate
i end up quite sad
having been so bad
my thoughts become simple ...

for those with woe
sometimes it’s just chemistry
ph levels and dopamine
a rush of rain overflowing into our streets
unable to find its way back to the canal
wandering
caught as a puddle
till the hot sun frees it to the air
sometimes it’s a choice
a switch we forget to flip
it’s binary
i choose dark today because it goes with my blouse
but the sundress is on the couch
thrown from the last romp
right where we left it to go chase frowns
sometimes the artificial need for meaning
for the crossword to magically come...

to receive all the thrusts they crave
from muscle flexing, yang wielding, rock hard egos
that shuck what they want whenever they want
plucking ripened lust from those that make themselves prey
that flirt and reveal their thighs
and blink their eyes
like human capote de bregas
awaiting the muleta for themselves
i admire their arched back and succumbing moans
i hope and wish for their bulls to scratch all their itches
i dream of their satiated, soft fulfilled eyes
and...

hips and shoulders pulsed
smiles and flirtatious eyes sprinkled mid air
you could feel blood rushing to organs
i stared at the floor
listening for structure and shape
waves of crescendos
making souls ripen and come alive
her fingers manipulated and caressed controls
morphing bits into patterns she adored
igniting the crowd with her fingerprints
as hormone fed gyrations pumped neurotransmitters
catalyzing seeking eyes and luscious tongues
fueling a hiearchy of protocol
cubs seeking mates
manes beating chests ...

for want

pricking a collection of points
with needling ideas

its crinkled tea leaves winking
hallucinating flippant judgment from its purveyor
so falsely
does its meaning rain
and drench paper cloaks
that drip with memory's ink

who said innovation breads attention

the benched fringe that no one needs
