Poet Introduction
Im a struggling addict who writes about many different things that i have been through and still struggle with daily. I began writing since 1995 when i was serving a ten year prison sentence on a 24-7 lock up unit in the state of indiana.

YOUR ALL I EVER NEED
I CAN’T BUY YOU DIAMONDS AND GOLD
NOTHING SHINY LIKE SILVER TO HOLD,
I CAN’T BUY YOU A BRAND NEW RIDE
NO, I CAN’T BORROW A DIME,
I CAN’T BUY YOU A MANSION ON A HILL
NOR CAN I FULFILL YOUR EVERY NEED
I CAN’T ERASE ANY HURT I HAVE CAUSED YOU
NOR CAN I CHANGE WHATS BEEN DONE YESTERDAY
BUT THESE LITTLE THINGS I CAN TRY
LIKE WIPING TEARS AWAY FROM YOUR EYES
AND HOLD YOU TIGHT IN MY ARMS
AND ASK HOW YOUR DAY WENT
FIX YOU A MEAL TO EAT
WHILE YOU SIT DOWN TO REST YOUR FEET
WASH THE DISHES AND DO THE LAUNDRY ...

MISCELLANEOUS POEM

Granny's in heaven waiting for me,
the early morning sounds of birds chirping
lets me know the day has come along,
the beauty of the songs i hear in this room
erase away all the gloom,
i struggle to roll over on my back
as i look up in to the sky,
through this window by my bed
that i struggle to rest in ,
looking for that little angel
as she creeps through the room,
to stand by my side with a tear in her eyes
wondering why i haven't got out of bed,
and fixed her breakfast the way i always did
i watch her as she turns away to run,
looking...
lets me know the day has come along,

I MISS YOU (DAD)
I'm standing alone
in the pouring rain,
staring at your grave-stone
feeling this endless pain.....
The name that I read
NOEL J. POTTER SR.
born May 17, 1936,
died March 1, 1984....
Though I never knew the man
I consider him my dearest friend,
and as the time passes by
I still feel so much pain inside......
I wrap my arms around myself
feeling the body beneath,
through the orange jump suit I'm wearing
instead of a suit of mourning....... ...

my angel , the one who saved me from me,,
i close my eyes to dream
about holding you all over again,
like i done so many times at night
it's some thing that i miss most,
as each new day comes and goes
i feel the tears fall down my face.
wondering what went wrong
when i gave you all i had to share,
it's almost as if you never cared
how things became between us,
i asked a thousand times in my mind
trying my best to understand why,
but every time i always find
these tears of hurt falling down,
i dial your old number some times
just to hear the...

the lil' angel who saved me
so many things go through my mind
as i sit here tonight writing rhymes,
i wonder to myself how things turned so bad
why it couldn't remain the way it once was,,
too many times i have failed to understand
just point a finger and place the blame,
but times like these it can't be done that way
just have to dig deep down inside for one of the memories i hold,
look into the things at hand
try my best to handle it all right,
instead of falling back to old times
when i would just strike out to end the fight,
it's some how...
