Rollercoaster
Never had I seen such a believing little girl.
She believed in unicorns and rainbows.
She believed in sunshine and true love.
She believed there was good in every one she knows.
But life has a way of humbling each of us.
Even when we hold nothing but good and innocence in our hearts.
Life has a way of reminding you problems become superfluous
And the ones we thought would never leave, are the first ones to break our heart.
Still, she tried to rise.
Still she tried to climb.
Even through all the trouble.
Even with all the rumble. ...

What's In A Name
I see you in my mind's eye
Of a time I was sure would come by
I dreamed of you for so long
How was I to know you would never come along
I even named you
Such a beautiful name, so true
I knew it was perfect
I knew it would have its effect
I dreamed of you and held you
To see your face, your eyes, your hair so new
A little bow on your head and booties on your feet
How was I to know we would never meet?
I dreamed of you baby, I promise its true
Of my kids, I always thought I would have a few
I looked and told him "that's her"...
Of a time I was sure would come by
I dreamed of you for so long
How was I to know you would never come along
I even named you
Such a beautiful name, so true

Free
I see your face and the fierce thunder comes to a halt
The wakes become calm and the clouds clear.
Although the thunderstorms amaze me and so I sought.
But the pain was a comfort to me that I kept near.
But you came along and changed me.
You showed me a new world full of butterflies and sunshine.
You showed me the truth of being free
All of a sudden I chose for happiness to be mine.
I knew you when I was young and down.
I looked at you and never imagined you would own my heart.
Suddenly your voice is my favorite sound.
My one wish, never...

Arise
You tried to eradicate me.
You tried to defame my name!
From my family you tried to detach
Saying I was the one to attack
Even though I woke up and prayed for you
I went to bed at night weeping because of you
You thought you had the upper hand for my fall.
But it's you who will go through your own downfall
Thinking you have the authority to preside
Through such immense evil pride
Regulate every order
Dictate one's every moment.
But to have control over my own thoughts
You surely crossed the line

I was just a little girl when you decided to hate me
Why Mother,
Is it because you feared me?
I was too skinny
I was too pretty.
I had a mind of my own.
And you wanted absolute control.
Years passed, and I kept loving you
I kept hoping you would see it too.
But you used it to be cruel.
Time's moved on and I have a son.
Foolish of me to believe you could love.
Oh yes you acted like the best grandma,
Little did I know you were planning to see me fall.
To take away my life's purpose.
When I already had a son I...

I promised myself
This time..
yeah this time
I wouldn't let you get under my skin
But I let you.
And you're gone again
You disappeared.
Poof!
Just like that.
I can't find you.
And I'm the one who feels lost
How can that be?

So much left unsaid
So much to say
Where do we go from here?
What is left that remains?
I long for the days
Where I wrapped my arms around you
And you leaned in for a kiss
Where I felt safe
That's all I miss
I was yours
And you were mine
You told me think long and hard
You were always on my mind
My muscle man
And I was your shorty
But, alas
So much has happened
Our story has been written
A beginning, a middle and an end
And I cant put the paper to the pen
It hurts to much.

At Our Spot
Our Spot.
Someones at our spot.
We aren't at our spot.
I wish we were.
Instead I'm here.
You're there.
Someone gave me more bad news today
Dealing with you
Are you not who I think you are?
I know you have a past
But did you let your past make you?

Shorty
My heart aches
God it burns!!
Do you think of me?
I saw a picture of you today
I can't be there with you
But my heart lept out
and fled to be there with you
My soul was vanquished
with every tear I shed
Because I'm empty
I'm gone.
I'm there with you
That's where I'm at.
I'm right there with you
In that hospital bed
Baby do you feel me?
That's me in your arms.
That's my soul in your heart.
That's my hand in yours.
I can't help it.
Some say I shouldn't feel this way

Not This Time
This is like a bad record
Another loved one in a bad spot
And here I am not able to speak a word.
We haven't spoken in days
And I cant get you out of my head
God please just let him be alright
I don't care if were together
I don't care if I ever lay eyes on him again
Just let him get through this.
Boy I was always to scared to tell you
But you had me hook, line and sinker.
That's why I snapped when you walked away
Because it crushed me.
I promised myself I'd never allow myself
to feel that again.
But...
