Its a heinous crime
Bolivian soldiers
I can’t accept
the premise that
you would
stretch a live soul
on a frame
and kill them
because you could
strays, that’s souls
put out to fend for
themselves on
the street
after having been loved
in homes
which must unseat
the psyche, the emotions
its heinous and its vile
and being sentient
and humane
its hard to reconcile
how anybody in their
right mind
even trained in war
would participate
in such a cruel and
mindless sport
what for?
why, a living...

a bit of nonsense
Candlelight
Quill pens
A cockerell to crow
a lute in a garrett
The river below
Wisteria winds
Up the walls to where she
Has hair of pure gold
And ofcourse the gold key
For she is the princess
and fervently will
Dance in the moonlight
And together lay still
In a bed of white damask
Till the great hint of Dawn
Returns him to the garden
From where he was torn
Her prince of the forest
A wizard in green
Who knows every tree, every plant
there has been
Down every fox hole
Inside every cave
His pen...

Fruit Fly
a tiny fruit fly
just a minute creature
is getting on my nerves
flying about
I’m so big
and its so blooming tiny
me, a grown man
you should hear me shout!
this little soul
is flying into, my space
aggravating me
I have to say
This a study in
some honest patience
But I’m tired and this
small fly
is in my way
was it sent to test
my nerves
to see how I’d respond
gently pat its tiny head
and tell it that I’m fond
or smash it with an
open hand
what does a vegan do?
he closes down his lap...
just a minute creature
is getting on my nerves
