~ Impending ~
An impending bleakness
that rises within my very soul
as phantoms shadow glow
as strikes of lightning,
danced around the black silk
reflects of my life
yet, still in the distance
I could hear the old wolves howling
that fueled my imaginings
of saints and demons

~ The past~
I lay in bed along
with, my head spinning
from today’s doubts and worry
my body is feverish
the disturbed stillness
reawakes the dream
of so long ago
as we meet as one
soul mate for life
that would go on and on
but death
and time thru the aged
took us away
but ours body remember
not only how much we love
but with the ecstasy
and pleasures of the pain
