Milk of the poppy
A lipstick kiss stain
pressed in the centre of my diary
I closed the chapter on you
but I still open you to smell your perfume
On the day you said
"you'll never go unrecognised"
"preach your art,
and preach it from the heart"
Milk of the poppy
you no longer have to stop me
milk of the poppy
we walked the fields behind me
milk of the poppy
you no longer have to sedate me
with your eyes
with your smile
it took a little while
to get me head straight
the milk of the poppy
and your sun dried...

the chill in my bones doesn't hurt me anymore

was reversing down that one way street

Dead mackerel eyes
Chased away, by vapours of butane
the stench between the walls
is a beguiling kind of call
feed me an overdose
cause help wont ever show
you asked to pick my brains
decided is was disturbingly strange
dont ask if you cant handle my truth
hallucinations are convincing me
the burning flesh inside my head
came from your slow burning fumes
the gas leak in your childhood,
slowly seeping floor to ceiling
day after day, year after year
till I'm seeing murderous yuppies
in blood soaked raincoats

Feed my slip stream

lick the diamond
with your laser slash tongue

You've riddled my mind, its in trouble, a flight of fancy kerfuffle,
a muddle, a sonic boom shock wave doubles,
my life has slipped under the destruction and the falling rubble,
my palace has crumbled, into the Avon river, that slithers,
between the valley of my mind, down the river it goes, and disappears out of sight,
