Forever Never Better
Today is inside of me,
and I don’t like to ever be
more than what fits inside my space of content.
Available and up for rent.
Close the shutters, please,
They may be looking in.
A rather discomforting pain is lodged in my rib cage.
Pull the bones outward, maybe there’s something there that
can add to the puzzle we’ve been trying to fit in.
I only want to set you a flame.
So let me tell you my name.
This is a photo my dad gave to me.
This is a shotgun my mother took from me.
Did he ever really get enough of
what I needed or what he needs...
and I don’t like to ever be
more than what fits inside my space of content.
Available and up for rent.

Doesn't do well with others,
The damage is far too much to apprehend the fighter's master,
So instead we'll beat the piss out of the slave.
I've fallen in love with an inanimate object,
do you really believe in everything you've ever read?
Of course I've tasted defeat, and longed for more.
Sleeping during the Rapture, and I've been welcomed into the higher Heavens by default,
Of course I'm no saint and I'll never get any better.
A game of cards should never be so tongue-in-cheek,
If it would be so bold as to
say we were never made to be so still....

Morgues are the safest places for a corpse,

In Case We're Kidding II; Stark-Raving Mad.
The earthquakes have stopped again.
We all look to you when we believe it to be the end.
All I've ever wanted was to finally tragically make amends.
Guide me home, I won't leave again.
Guide me Home, I won't leave again.
You will never rest until you see me
break this latest promise.
A time capsule erupted in my head.
Before the dragon, before I suffered from the END.
Collection of low-interest petty rivalry
Suffering spells of duality.
Bone on bone, I'm coming home.
We all look to you when we believe it to be the end.

In Case We're Kidding.
A warehouse full of narcotics has no pull.
A state of awareness cripples the holder’s hand.
The timid electives howl behind their closed doors,
shaking and barking as if they were untamed dogs.
Pedestals once shiny are crumbling.
The end of the world is ultimately collective.
Circuits of currency are running out of spark.
Somebody get him down from the ceiling.
He’s been up there since the moment we got here.
Win some, lose some, a bet is never right
on the wrong end of the bill.
Temperature rises, as do they,
welding their hands to the high...
