Twenty four
Thirty six
Not corporeal measurements
They are extended requirements
Of consciousness
I've experimented
With the time
How long
Until we're tired
Cannot force
Only drift
Even drifting has its limit
No matter how mentally tried
So for now
It is twenty four hours
Minimum
Thirty six
Until I am allowed
Some slumber
Thirty six
Not corporeal measurements
They are extended requirements
Of consciousness
I've experimented
With the time
How long
Until we're tired
Cannot force
Only drift
Even drifting has its limit
No matter how mentally tried
So for now
It is twenty four hours

Such a small number
And the large elite
Small
In mentation
Not stature
What a sniper bullet
Or five
Would do for fear
Like I said
Piercing the veil
Right through five heads
Would it shake the foundation
Of which you stand fertid
Knowing
Indestructibility
Is an illusion
How time has comforted

There are more of us than there are of...

Wave of Rage
This monster
Well fed and overgrown
Stares darkly
A hound near his throne
The stench of fear dissolves
It was threatening my resolve
Driving my blade through
As it rears with reaching claws
Raising the mutts head
One single purpose arose
One thought as eyes lock
Stirs hope that points us home
Where I intend to take him.

A Study in Prey
Coffee really is for pussys
In think in this humid dome
Lewd pictures litter the leather
Of my temporary home
So many little outfits
The heat is taking a toll
She barely wears a t-shirt now
The last one was just holes
I guess with all the brush she figures no one can see through
I chuckle at the distance my camera covers from this view
The shadow that I hired rounds the corner of her place
The moment sends my heart and lungs on a competitive race ...

Time demanded attention for solace
Company, love, a familiar palace
The drive did not deliver shrill pitches in my ear
Calm music dashed dark thoughts
The road was so clear
Arriving released the tension building within my spine

Mourning the reminder
Sinking lower
Feeling her presence
The love
That linked us together
Yet the hungry earth

In all of us
Nine was young for this
And here I sit
With the same pit
Now silent
Empty
As before
There is no presence here
Just memory
Who were they kidding
Her grave now weathered
Uncle leaning upon the same tree
