coffee girl
If it keeps on raining
If it keeps on complaining
We'll never get an ounce of hope
If it keeps up all night
We'll grow into lazy vines
If it keeps on raining
I'm sure we'll lose our minds
The other day I met you
In those dreary coffee clouds
We made eye contact
And then you vanished
Now it rains, see?
And suddenly it pains me
To return
to the same shop twice
If it keeps on raining
We'll have plenty of complaining
If it keeps up
We'll shut up
If she comes back
I'll lazily pack up
And try...
If it keeps on complaining

OBSERVATIONAL POEM

peephole
He waits in the city
He peers through the peephole
He hides himself inside
For days on end
Neon bleeds in the city
Neon runs in the rain
Neon makes things look pretty
Neon makes him look insane
He treks low
To his favorite diner
A small hole in the wall,
Smokey lines
Running in shifts
Low key times
Telling his myths
Pain pill one
He feels the heart slow
Pain pill two
He'll watch his eyes glow
In filmy bathroom mirrors
Streets drenched
In
Naked sweat
Inn
Rusty palms...
He peers through the peephole
He hides himself inside
For days on end
Neon bleeds in the city
Neon runs in the rain
Neon makes things look pretty
Neon makes him look insane

Crowded Womb
Look at you
Out on the perimeter
Of busy crowds
Trying to fit in
I'm over here
Inside the embryo
Hatching slow
Each breath
And every step
Will blend you further
Into their world
Nice and proper
Nice and normal
Nice and boring
Nice and nice
It keeps you alive
Keeps you in line
Just to numb you down
Over and over
All over again
I'll be in here
I will be self involved
or
So you believe
Dwelling in my 'ego'
Taking it to the head
Avoiding social cues
They make...
Out on the perimeter
Of busy crowds
Trying to fit in
I'm over here

I Miss Nothing
Most of myself
Has been stripped away
Flesh to bone
Forgotten
in sands
Of time alone
Most of this life
Has been a blurry mess
Of beautiful
Unpredictable
Happenings
I don't wait around
For ends
And means
And ways to justify
My existence
I simply persist
I simply strip away layers
Tooth and grin
At the thought of the pain
I'll be remembered
In vaults
In hidden tombs
In the hollow dreams
Of others
Those I've met
Across the sands
Hold my truths
In deep...

Forgotten
in sands
Of time alone
Most of this life

Forgot the things in between
You couldn't wait
You couldnt relate
To my ongoing cry for help
I slept on your bosom
And died a little longer
Just to tell you the truth
Just to ride hell and back
To be around you
You left in dead of winter
And you probably hate this
Giant
Fatal
Flaw
You made me rise
From a pile of guilt
You made me
Rise across your grave
You made me this new person
A being of absolute light
I hope it was worth it,
Your petty indecisive spell
I hope it eats away
Everyday
Like a giant...

Worlds within your scattered worlds
You're so far gone into insecure seclusion
Never far from your imaginary
Wishful
Playlands
Idle hands
Traverse living boundaries
Tip toe
Too and fro
Around your vacant stare
We gaze through
Only to lose you
In pretty rainbow wonders
In pretty black slumbers

The true cause for your escape

Rain King
Coffee = potential
As I start this rainy day
I feel like a lowly peasant
Far from the Rain King
My head still in the clouds
Dreams clouds far afloat
I can't seem to shake weird dreams
Sidewalks are damp with reality
Everyday in this town looks the same
Work lunch = small talk
As I fade into afternoon
I drudge like a muckraker
Far from the Rain King
My arms sway in the frigid breeze
I can't seem to make something of myself

In a town that never sleeps

grudge
Bemused by hatred
My mind stews in a blinding rage
My thoughts travel backwards
Holding back on a needless grudge
My thoughts cut you down endlessly
Into long tongue pieces
Taking big powerful breaths now
My mind is in an echoe chamber
For lawless vices
For hopeless thoughts
For wayward souls
Keeping you at bay, baby
For this long
has sullied me
And drained my power
Keeping all of this worry inside
Keeps it all at bay, baby
This powerful rejection
This needless grudge
This reduction in bodily...

Think back...
I think back to an earlier phase
when I had a lot to lose
I look back on those moments
and laugh madly
because I was so very foolish
to believe in a fool's mistakes
I live for that moment now.
it's all happenstance
and
it all happens for a reason
and
it is
all happening for some reason
all the time
I sink back to an earlier era
where I had a certain gusto
(with plenty of friendly ghosts
and worries
to keep me company)
i'd wake up each and every day
throw on some old running shoes...
when I had a lot to lose
I look back on those moments
and laugh madly
because I was so very foolish

When the two mix
Like drinks
Under a moonlit grove
I take your hand
I feel your skin
I cherish this moment
To last a lifetime
You have a faint complexion
Like a silhouette
You have big beautiful eyes
And a shy smile
They don't make them like you anymore
I feel you move inside
I feel you breath
I take your heart
And melt away in between
You have so much to teach me
And I have so much to learn
I will keep you smiling
For years to come
