eyes
once
more
and now i am here
in this place
the luscious grass of every green encapsulates me and occupies every instant of my thought and vision
and only the breeze resounds
i manage to break away from the entrancement of verdant hypnosis and observe my surroundings
a field
contrasted only by deep cerulean...

MISCELLANEOUS POEM

soft reflections
waiting for a storm to pass,
you go for a walk downstairs
leaving seated whispers...
and their reverberous echoes
as they fill the dimmed court
to accompany the lingering smells of various foods
...for a short sensory journey
you begin to wander,
looking up and watching the lightning through the skylights
occasionally hearing the trickling of a fountain - the sound of every drip refracting across the atmosphere
the tranquil cacophony is broken
when you hear an almost faint call from the mezzanine
but...
you go for a walk downstairs

sleep drift
fading today
into hypnagogic grey
phosphenes swallowing you
a tapered fall,
a cerebral revolve
around a dissonant tune
blaring quiescence
through unconscious moments
lived through a brume
some dreams
are just a color scheme
and déjà vu

OBSERVATIONAL POEM

microscape
a distant haze on the horizon
past the lush wooded mountains -
sprinkled with yellow, grazed by shadow
a far-off vista through glass,
occupying only a narrow zone of my vision,
with a familiar sedative nature
perhaps the clouds - lightly daubed feathers
padding the pastel sky along the shifting hills,
where a beige arises into blue
where occasionally one may catch sights
of several faint dots assumed to be birds
grazing that supernal gradient
and in the crawling chaos of boredom,
a momentary peace washes...

new sights
i feel so infantile -
everything is new
i see the drowned innocence
in the air surrounding each life
i see the forgotten beauty
in all the trees, nearly dead
for a few moments i can see the world
without my so far shattered perception
now i see with a clearer lens
looking out through the thick and the haze...
my dismal phase broken,
serenity reborn

somnolent drive
pale blue sky
faded pavement
sun in my eyes
visual abatement
clouds surrounding
interrupt the shine
feeling the heat
come off my covered eyes
fading in
fading out
conscious of sound
inside, a silent shout
sense of movement
no sense of direction
holding on to awareness
fleeting view of reflection
lack of noise
startles my mind ...

a ceasing forenoon, a shaded recline,
a crystalline stare into a lush canopy
and its numerous branching understories
such a subtle embrace with the earth,
such immense space between you and the speckled barrier
through which the sky beyond permeates
every breath of breeze washes over you,
grazing your skin, kissing your lips,
running its whispy fingers through your hair
you notice your mind arrive in your head,
back from a realm high above
populous with green, yellow, and tinges of blue
a moment of conscious...
