LOVE POEM

YOUNG AND IN LOVE
They were young and fell in love
she became pregnant at a young age and they married
people said it would not last and they would break up
but it did last and she had a baby boy
then shortly after she had a girl
and life was good for them
the lad joined the royal air force enjoying be in the forces
then tragedy struck at nineteen years of age
he was killed in a car accident
One year later the mother was told she had cancer
within two years she died
at the funeral she left a letter declaring her love to her husband
now at the age of...

IT IS CHRISTMAS
I am so excited it is nearly Christmas eve
at bedtime I will hang up my Christmas sack
all our big presents will be under the tree
some are for you ,some for me
when santa comes I must be asleep
or close my eyes and do not peep.
The santa sign says please call here
on Christmas day I will give you a cheer
and thank you for my presents this year
I will be good ,I know I should
merry Christmas everyone
from a childs thoughts

My wish is for all to be happy
and for peace around the world
I wish all wars could end
and we all live like friends

Make someone happy
Christmas time is nearly here
we celebrate like we do every year
buying presents for a loved one
and sharing a drink with someone
but spare a thought for our forces
who are away from loved ones.
Think about the homeless and the lonely
who have no one to share with
if you know someone in hospital
try to go and visit them
remember the old people near you
and help out where you can
all it needs is for you
to show some love
have a good Christmas
merry Christmas everyone

SPARE A THOUGHT
Christmas time will soon be here
we enjoy ourselves this time of year
children excited and opening presents too
mum and dad happy for you
enjoy the presents that have been bought
but let each person spare a thought
spare a thought for our soldiers
who may be on the front line
and wont be home in time
some people missing loved ones
spare a thought for the less fortunate
visit people who live alone
make a wish for all
we have peace on earth
and goodwill around the world

MUMS BIRTHDAY
We will never forget her
she has been gone a few years now
she brought nine of us into this world
looking after us al her life
we were poor, but she fed us
though she as left this world
we would never forget her
her birthday is getting near
so we raise a glass and say
thanks for bringing us all up
the right way .

He was just a little boy
who should be playing and full of joy
but he wants to be alone
he wants to play on his own
He was being abused and used
being made to suffer
at the hands of his father
that boy will need a lot of love
to get over the cruelty he suffered

but no, her uncle made her do things
that little girls should not do
it was their secret uncle said
how these children suffer
at the hands of bad people
but it happens the world over

ORPHANS
An angel came into my life that day
you were the angel who would say
I will always be here for you
and all the other children too.
We were all adopted by you
I was just one of quite a few
you did everything to make us happy
you were strict but fair
we were educated and then at age
settled in a career with a good wage
You would go anywhere in the world
to see any of us get married
you were a good father to us all
we will never forget you
or all the things you did for us too
god has taken you away now
but we will never forget...

THE BODY
I looked out the window
there she was stood on my drive
she was small and slim to a point
but she had a big backside
stood there on my drive.
I went out to take a closer look
should I take her out
or go back in read my book
would I handle her well
and look after her
she was not too bad
except for that big backside
it made her look sad
I took her for a drive
not as good as my car
so I wont drive her far
my car is in for repair
and they lent me this one

THE NURSES
They are dedicated to the work
not one wants to shirk
I looked around ,they were all busy
not one needed to be told
making beds, looking after patients like gold
ward sister was on the go
making sure nothing stopped the flow.
suddenly an emergency
screens placed around the bed
nothing could be done
the poor man was dead
the nurses cleaned up and after a while
still managed to smile.
the dedication of these nurses
who carry on regardless
what teamwork they have got
dedication they have the lot
