Love is the wind that lifts our sails,
Guiding us through life's roughest trails.
It's the sun that shines down from above,
Filling our hearts with warmth and love.

Love is a Gift
Love is a flame that burns so bright,
A warm and gentle, shining light.
It brings us joy, it brings us peace,
A feeling like no other release.
It lifts us up when we are low,
And helps us grow, letting us know

Only the Beginning
I've dreamed of the moment when our eyes find each other, have you
A first meeting, the possibility of something new
I feel I know you, though have only seen you through a frame
I have viewed your lovely smile again and again
Thinking of the day when I may hold you in a friendly embrace
I'm hoping the sparks fly and my heart begins to race
The thought of your warm beautiful glow already brings a smile to my face
And comforts me like a gentle breeze as I contemplate the end of a first of many dates
I can only hope the feelings I have are...

Another year has come and gone
I’m still here waiting for you
I’m wondering if I’ve met you already and I just didn’t know who you were
I have all this love for you already and don’t even know your name

Who could have known just what this innocent thing would bring
These feelings I've held so deep inside
Oh, the wonderment that you have brought to my life

Crush
Your smile makes me smile,
Your laugh makes me laugh,
Your eyes are enchanting,
You make my thoughts seem daft.
Since the day I first laid eyes on you,
My feelings grew and grew.
In that first conversation my knees clicked and clacked,
And those butterflies flipped and flapped.
And as I spill these simple rhymes,
My mind goes over time and time,
Why didn't you ask me to dance,
During that slow song of endless romance?
I hope this doesn't seem to creepy.
Please don't think my thoughts have flown too freely.
Just know that...

Why do these thoughts I had of us still remain in my head
Of loving emotions left unspoken, so many words left unsaid
What could have been of us I wonder if I would have only found a way
To overcome my bashfulness, somehow make you mine and sweep you away
Do you still think of me as often, would I even stand a chance
Can I somehow offer you my love, start a whirlwind romance

A heart needs heeling
Most often when I see you it's just a passing glance
Yet it's the part of my day I look most forward too
Your eyes catch mine and I see our entire life's journey
Then I snap back to reality and realize I never said a word

Like a subtle breeze you blew into my life
Your calm solace nature inspires me often and unexpectedly
How could this be? These feelings washing over me
Like waves crashing against the shore
Your spirit and beauty capture me each time our eyes meet
It's an experience I treasure at every moment
