POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
I am 18 and am quite new to poetry. However, my first poem's feedback and job offer proves im no rookie.
My Favourite Overalls
Broken threads, ripped around each filthy knee,
Awakened, like I, to the morning call.
Proud to its duty with both latches filling their reserved places,
Greeting every anxious barn animal with the soft, swift sound of each pant leg rubbing against itself.
With each step, the wet soil splashing upon the beaten ends,
Nevertheless, they never fail to perform its duty.
After a long day at work, the dismissing sunrise waves goodbye.
As we pounce off Mr. John Deer, the edge pierces with yet another tear.
A fine line and a razor sharp needle repair the daily...

Take Me Back to the Days I Know
Take me back to the days I know
When we would play and grow
Never phased by hoes
When life was like a high speed chase, like, whoaaa
When dogs was dogs, like eight below
When everyone was smiling cuz happiness felt great to show
But now everyone hibernating like they hate the snow
Yeah, the bills is high, the pay is low
And them interest rates plateau
Success? Pfft.. couldn’t even get played on a half assed radio
But like tiger woods, my sways was pro
Thought I was gunna get out this way but no
Betrayed by foes
Thought I was gunna get it as...

November Rains
The trees as if in sorrow, I call it November rain
Cry do the branches but tears do not pertain
With the floor covered in sheets of brightly faded paint
Gusts of winds make the leaves to drift and acquaint
As the sunlight slips through the nakedness of Mother Nature
Replenishing is the air like none of its neighbors
The slight breeze provoking even the saplings to clash
The victory of one ends the battle with a colorful splash
The maple leaves whisper as they know is farewell
To join the others below to move on and to dwell
Until next term,...

Dew Upon the Grass
Every morning the dew is upon the grass
The birds up so early, while she still sleeps fast
Maybe today I’ll get my answer, to that question no one wants to ask
Days getting kindred as if same as the last
I sit down as if to dine, but only to glance at the empty chair
Someone special used to fill, but now there’s no one there
A single tear towards the sky; can these days ever be the same?
My only half is gone, but her memories remain
Few do I laugh, and when is with much sorrow
I can’t decide if I’m living with yesterday or dwell with...
