As a songwriter/guitarist, I've written lots of verse. Come to find out, I've been self analyzing all along. Please forgive my indiscretions with syntax. I should've paid closer attention in English classes. Even so, this is me in all of my nakedness.

-Abandoned-
Abandoned by family and so called friends...What have I done, this Fate? Loyalty repaid, undermined in what's Faith, for only myself to blame. Lost, so young, in a world so small, never to be whole again. Knowing at once, in a nanoseconds mind, lay a Purgatoried future defined. What had I done so young? So many betrayals submerged in this hold, for numbed feelings lessen the hurt. As The Man once sang so many lives ago, "Rust Never Sleeps," to my nights. And as time steals away this strongest of arks, what seeps does find its way. As a current will slay the least path of resistance, this hold...

Slow Blues
The less I have to see is the less I have to feel.
So, kindly if you please, dim your lights on me.
But, even through this foggy mind, I still remember cheer.
Though best if sunny days forgot, if even ever neared.
Come night the blowing desert sands reign these dead end streets.
I turn a collar to the wind but dust-filled eyes still weep.
Another shot of whiskey to stem what lies inside.
And weigh the loss of long ago...if only to survive.

Too numb to feel the pain
But, still it hurts just the same ...
The less I have to see is the less I have to feel.

Nexus
Cast and adrift on seas forlore, as the Oblivion arises within.
To which, this vessel pitch far from home, for Dogma's false truths and sins.
So binds this current for endpoint horizon, where darkness ascends, en masse.
Therein, embodied are the claimed, harrowed souls, whom await chosen prey for its mass.
As Faith now lies to owned, shadowed echoes, has come, the Sirens lullabies.
And, Fate does answer their beckon calls, in whirlpools of Sanctum's demise.
In turn, the sea writhes as with angerful pain, flaying its tormented crests.
All is but...

A Conversation with God
I bitch; And I moan; And I rant, 'til insane.
And curse through spit, one spite-filled name.
For, upon His high, I lower all guise,
to castigate, this Lord of Lies.
When comes 'lone times, wonder do I;
What went wrong and as to, why?
One day, sunny; the next, gray skies.
Forever now, I only sigh.
I shrug a shoulder for your gifts, Divined.
Some gifts, I guess, best left behind.
But, now am old and a wrinkled guy,
whose better days have gone, bye-bye.
Though, now I know more of self;
the good, the...

-A Home-
A home to live. A home of love.
A welcomed refuge, this velvet glove.
And a home enveloped with family to care.
For a shoulder to cry when times are unfair.
A home of warmth by a hearth's heartlight.
For sharing in both good and when life may smite.
A home of peace and to close a door.
To shun a troubled world for an hour, or more.
To those where a home is but a house of pain,
a wish of comfort in your times of rain.
But a home can part your hardship grays.
One ray of joy will show the way.
A home gives life, though...

Truth
Trust only thee, love, 'lo denied
Truth is but all...'tis easier to die
Disceit come's contained, self-vessel within
One's forlorned distance in loss of what's been
Sin without contrast? Has life been so worn?
Of footpath's travails comes consciousness torn
Rightious indignation has stolen truth's soul
Through mirrored deceit burns conflicted folds
Still, truth must flicker or all is but lost
Though to pay Keeper's passage, the soul is truth's cost
And His river runs red in splayed heart's of deep,

Season of Change
An Autumn's fullmoon enlightens my way, thru fields and forests, to the hills nature lays.
As leaves, red and gold, flurry night's sky, a silence brings whispers to their songs of goodbye.
For soon, Fall will bare the lives of pasts' fold. In slumber's golden sleep and to lullabies yet told.
So come, Winter's chill with your deep-blanket snows. Enwrapping, to preserve, 'til the Springtime unfolds.
