Such agony in honesty
breaking bleeding shell release
I'm fresh and soft sore pink new
You are locked in your imaginary box
(red witch holds your key)
I am waiting for you.
Look for me.
Hear me, see me flesh is sweet
inhale my scent
I, fresh as white soap with water
I, who can cleanse your soul and make you whole.
Open to me.
See me.

Patience is not my virtue
Always knowing
Always waiting
brings such pain
Empty lonesome pearl
spoiled for the wanting
holding my breath for your whisper
knowing it is time
I don't want to be careful logical
slow
boring
or sane.

Empathy
I can slay them
I choose mercy, for the most part
This is the heart of me
bleeding ripe
with the birth of empathy in each moment
Others attempt to impose upon me
(The lock is golden, brass key)
You will not reach me
when I hide my footprints
White downy feather mirage
dissipating vapor
drainage of love juice
whispering white orb of light
gone.
I choose mercy, for the most part
This is the heart of me

Testosterone waterfall of machismo

Let's smack the kids and call them stupid
that will keep them out of prison
Lie on the food stamps application

"No, I don't sell weed"

Beauty does not insinuate compliance,
does not imply entitlement-
is bestowed, at times, upon people who do not embrace it.
My face, breasts and flaxen waves are not for you-
these do not speak of the depth of me
they are not yours to own, gawk, judge.
I exude who I really am,
not the mindless drone persona which others often impose upon me.
(Taste bitter as copper on your tongue, when I say these few words- I scream them with my eyes, daggers.)
I should slap you in the face, swift justice for your disrespect.
(My face is up here.)

Underwater world of illusions
such solace in simple euphoria
Asleep awake intertwined wine
(I am wined and dined)
cloudy crisp air
I exhale my mind through my eyes
(calm grey eyes)
Irish eyes smiling, flip.
I come undone
as a love-worn cherished family quilt.

Secret Smoke
Thirteen dreaming queen
on the broken porch beneath the stars
The shadow tree in front of me, no leaves
cigarette cancer stick breathing life into me
as parents sleep
Listening to forbidden, drawing from the bottom
feeling alive, feeling self
weaving a reality all my own
no one can stop me now
and I am glad the world is sleeping at my feet
This was the only moment I could hear my own heart beat
So alone to the bone
cold in the summer night air
cold heart, warm hands.
