Is this really how he wants this to be?
There’s barely any communication at all between us.
I don’t think he understands all the sacrifices that I made. He doesn't understand that he has killed me inside and outside.
He tore my soul from within me,
and then took a hammer and shattered my heart into tiny pieces. I’m a broken wing not a broken thing.
I can heal in time if I tried.
I’m all in.
I’m giving everything I have to forget our past.

I come from a very religious family.
They’re all homophobic.
They don’t like gays.
They think there’s something wrong with them.
I’m coming out the closet.
I’m letting the world know what I am.
I’m gay!
You heard what I said.
I don’t need any meds.
No pill is going to change me.
I’m proud to be gay!
I know my family won’t accept me,
But that’s fine though.
I don’t need their criticism.
I’ll be as open as I want to.

He stood there looking beyond the bridge. He knew he had to cross it to get to the other side. Though the fear started to build up he kept reminding himself that it’ll be worth it to cross the bridge. He took one step forward and froze. He got a scary thought. What would happen if he went any farther than he has already gone. Well, he wouldn’t know till he got there. He started to have second thoughts on what he was about to do. Was it all really worth it? Friends come and go.
They stab you in the back,
Or never let you go.
They can bring you to life,
Or bring you to death.
They can help heal wounds,
Or just make them worse.
True friends will be with you,
Through the good and the bad.

Desperate
I’m back to where I started.
I’m sitting here pretending not to care,
And I’m trying not to wonder if something will happen.
I’m trying to forget and act like nothing happened.
It’s getting harder and harder to sit here alone.
Being here is making me feel really lonely.
Does anyone see me?
Or am I invisible again?
I don’t know what to do anymore.
I feel like I’m lost in darkness,
And no one knows how to find me.
Where did I go?
I really need to find myself again.
I need to get rid of all these masks I wear.
I only need one face.

Depression Destroys you
These issues surround me.
This darkness glooms overhead.
I’m held down by these chains.
The devil has his hand on me.
God doesn’t seem to care.
I’m stuck in this hell once again.
What did I ever do to deserve this?
All the happiness inside me is gone.
Sorrow has filled me up.
Pain is all I feel.
Regret is shown in my dreams.
Guilt is worn on my face.
Whatever went wrong?
I’m lost in the confusion of my thoughts.
My heart is cold as ice.
It no longer has a beat.

You gave birth to me.
I was your fifth child.
You gave us all up for drugs and sex.
How can you tell me you loved me when you were never there?
You only showed up to one visitation.
What does that show me?
That shows me you never cared.
People have told me that you had fought for me in court to keep your parental rights but why bother if you knew you were never going to be there.
Why did you give birth to me if you knew you couldn’t handle me?
You just gave me up so easily.
How could you do something like that to me?
The years went by and I barely...

My First Prom
Who knew I’d get this far in life.
I’ve finally broke the family cycle.
I’ve made it to my first prom!
Yay for me!
I feel so happy on the inside and outside.
I wore a dress that you tie around the neck.
It was pink.
If you knew me a year ago I wouldn’t have worn this dress.
I admit I’ve changed a lot.
But I’ve changed for the best.
I wore high heels that had ruffles on them.
I looked like a princess, like in fairytales.
I was all ready for prom!
I was so excited.
I didn’t mind one bit that prom was in a hospital.

I would have never guessed
this day would come.
You are gone.
told me ahead of time.
I tried to prepare for the storm.
I didn’t get to say goodbye to you.
I don’t think I need to.
We’re better off going our separate ways.
We’re better off not saying it.

Light Against Darkness
Worlds collide with reality.
The battle begins all over again.
Try hard not to freak out.
Faces are looking at you,
Voices repeating your name,
Turn the mirrors around and turn the music up.
Try and ignore them,
This will all pass by.
You’re stronger than them.
Don’t let these demons ruin your world.
You’re faster than the devil.
You can run all you want but you can’t hide.
Stand your ground and look the devil in the eye.
Show Him you’re not afraid.
Pick up the sword,
show him what happens when he messes with you. ...

Don’t let the gossip and rumors get to you.
Stop listening to the haters and liars.
You’re better than they are.

Distractions come and go I know,
But you are strong enough to concentrate.
