I stole your shadow
i stole your shadow and followed it to the moon.
we drank honey and cried
as we watched the sun and earth collide.
i stole your shadow and kissed it.
after, we wrote down the rules
and sat on different sides of the couch.
i stole your shadow and got it drunk.
i whispered words born from my soul
as he slept in the folds of my fingers.
i stole your shadow and drove off a cliff
i said i love you to an empty seat and
deflated airbags.

each step i took away from you

can you truly love one
if you know they'll let you down
if so than please forgive me
you're all thats keeping me around
leave this bed knowing
i’m defeated and you've won
my sanity is drifting
into spirals, for your fun
I've grown into a monster
i used to fear under the bed
my darling you can save me
but you just mess within my head
“i promise I’ll wont scream again
i love you please don't leave”
“bitch I'll fucking kill you
if you dare to even breathe”
so finally I'm leaving
without saying goodbye...
if you know they'll let you down

dear old alice has finally snapped
she's crazy
she's mental
she's completely gone mad
and oh so pure
was this sweet little girl
what happened to make her so sad?
she's dancing with rabbits
and drinks too much tea
she's growing and growing
as small as can be
she wears strange hats
she's smoking with cats
oh alice what happened to thee?

where did mommy go?
mommy cheats on daddy with the bottle.
sounds of breaking glass shatter spines,
vertebrae cracking like whips
lashed through night desert air.
choked cries gasping through the haze
of whiskey and drowned depressions.
devils dance
on the broken bones of a once family,
taunting us, the victims
on their point shoes.
mommy loses herself to the amber elixir,
our nights are veiled in sobs from a child
who's mother has given herself to a monster.
her stale breath is slurred with hatred and regret,
“I NEVER WANTED YOU”
it is a voice that...

i remember
i remember how i felt
when you crawled between the sheets of my bed
the slight shake of your body
as you cried in silence.
i pretended to be asleep
but i noticed the faint smell
of cigarettes and cheap vodka
and as your guilty tears dried
and your trembling sighs morphed
into shallow breaths
i drifted back into my world of despondent dreams

she flirted with death
even though she was mine
she flirted with death
calling out his name,
but never shaking his hand
she never called my name
i thought things would change,
we would have been a family
and the white picket fence
i always told you about
would have locked us away
in between the sheets of our fairytale love
i would have protected you from your demons
extracting them from your fragile body
one kiss at a time
