Coffee, cannabis and Kraftwerk
My mind is picking up these messages.
But they mean no harm or stress.
They’re just they’re to keep me on edge.
Awake and and in distress. No more no less.
The beeps and bops in the dome,
Keep me from feeling alone.
They reflect and fly through my space.
But you can’t tell by looking at my face.

Life at sea
The boat I am on is a sailboat,
and storm lies ahead.
I have always been afloat,
but my feet are getting wet.
The sea is getting wilder,
and my boat is filled with plugs.
My bunk bed in the cabin,
rocking while she tugs.
The compass that guides me,
suddenly gave.
The sea is my home,
but also my grave.
There is however,
one other way.
The sun can still guide me,
to get to that day.
The day I’ll find out,
there’s land ahead.
I’ll rebuild my boat and my...

An appreciation
The first time I saw you,
I was still feeling blue.
My heart was still broken,
By the words they had spoken.
Love wasn’t for me,
but then I met you.
You made me see,
What love can really be.
You taught me a lot,
like the things they were not.
You and I in this boat together,
We can make this last forever.
If you follow me now,
I’ll show you how.
Since we’re together,
I'm no longer blue.
And the only thing I want from now on
Is to be with you.

Some girls are bigger then others
So much more to hold,
so much more to love.
You may see a her as full,
I see her as beautiful.
She loves me with all of her heart.
And believe me, loving me is an art.
I kissed her on the forehead.
I love you, she said.
I love her too, but I don't know what to do.
Say I love you more, or say I love you too.
She smiles at the latter, but I make her feel like a queen with the other.
When I look at her, I see...
So much more.
so much more to love.

Brussels climate march
Time’s up,
The clock stopped ticking.
The thought of it is sickening.
The earth is dying,
We’re not even trying.
Some choose to do nothing,
Some take action.
In Brussels 13.000 students invaded the streets,
And that’s just a fraction.
But all of those children were confronted with rejection.
The government is ignorant.
“Let’s build another power plant”.
So I’ll stop my rant,
Get out on the streets,
And chant!

Depressed
My head is exploding with the thoughts I am loathing. I want it to end. Please help me, my dear friend. If I don't stop crying, I might end up dying.
Pershaps I should stop trying.
I need to find hope, because this life is a slippery slope.
It leads where you want.
Where you lead it to.
But in the end,
I need someone too.

Goodbye
It was a cold winter night.
My head filled with fright.
The hollidays were over, my life was nearly over...
The toughts in my head, the chills in my bones.
But mostly, the messages in our phones.
We laughed and we cried, 'till late in the night.
But it was bound to end. You as my girlfriend.
We were good we were bad.
We both ended mad.
But in the end I was not only glad, I was mostly sad.
It didn't work, like eating soup with a fork.
All I long for is to look you in the eye,
Goodbye.

Heroes
Sometimes,
All you need is a hero. Someone to save the day when everything goes wrong. But sometimes it takes long ‘till your hero comes along.
But when he or she is there, there’s magic everywhere. You look arround and listen to that sound. It may take a while, but when that person arrives, all you want to do is smile.
First, I like you
Then, I love you
Suddenly out of nowhere, I do.
All you need is a hero. Someone to save the day when everything goes wrong. But sometimes it takes long ‘till your hero comes along.

Loving all year round
Watching her smile is like looking at the sunset in summer.
Listening to her voice is like listening to the rain dripping on the roof in fall.
Missing her is like a long, harsh winter.

Words for grandpa
I touched your hands and they were cold.
I cried a tear and down it rolled.
Sometimes I still feel the urge to cry.
When I think about the years that went by.
Growning up was hard.
Knowing life had stopped your heart.
You went away out of the blue.
We will always miss you.
Like an arrow that never reaches it's target.
But deep down, I know we never parted.
I always admired the positivity you had in you.
Even when it was pain life put you through.
To think of your smile again,
Made me move my pen.
I cried a tear and down it rolled.
Sometimes I still feel the urge to cry.
When I think about the years that went by.
