I took lines off of the back of albums and made poems. Then one day I told myself I should be able to do the same with my own words. So I wrote my 1st poem and have been writing ever since. I'm shy about my poetry but starting to open up.

I Want To Love My Woman
I want to love my woman
The way a woman dreams
Support her thoughts and all ideas
Help her build and unbreakable self-esteem
I want to love my woman
By infecting her soul with true love's disease
For this to happen I don't have to be perfect
I just have to love her perfectly
I want to love my woman
With a love as strong as Ossie Davis and Ruby Dee
Two souls connected and flowing in sync
Just like two waves out at sea
I want to love my woman
In a way that she can experience and see
Not how...

The Difference
He wants your body
I want your heart
He wants to contain your growth
I want the greatness in you to come out
He wants to treat you like property
I want to embrace you like a granted wish
He wants to greet you with no emotion
I want to greet you with I love you and a kiss
He wants to have control over your mind
I want to encourage your mental growth
He wants you to take care of him
I want to take care of us both
He wants to keep your vision blurred
I want to awaken your third eye
He has to give his all to attempt to love you...

VISUAL MOMENTS
I want to see the golden hue on your face
That the morning sun creeping through the blinds produces
Anticipating the moment when the sight of your nude flesh
Transforms my dry mouth into a cavern of overflowing juices
After viewing you in all your splendor
I'm like a child that has found the one and only gift they want for Christmas
On a page in landscape orientation, your name is written with an eye-popping font
Eliminating any chance of Santa Claus saying he missed it
At night as you lay still, the glow of the moon creeps in and surrounds you ...

Like a bird in flight
Soaring through the sky
Flowing freely and softly
Like the tear of an eye
Unconfined by boundaries
Infinite like space
Always staying strong
No matter what the case
So full of energy
Like a young child at play
Being watched and adored
Like an exhibit on display
Created with the composition
Of a heavenly soul

And never get old
Hard to maintain
